Gov AI x Senator Costa talk AI for Gov
In 2018, before AI was everywhere, Gov AI sat down with PA State Senator Jay Costa to talk about how AI will change the face of government services. Now, PA leads the country in rolling out ethical and responsible AI for the public sector.
Our History: The Evolution of Gov AI

2015: Founded Gov AI to investigate how AI can make government services more accessible, user friendly, and efficient.

2017: Launched an AI-powered tool to streamline public benefit applications, reducing complexity for users.

2018: Created a policy blueprint for AI in the Public Sector, including recommendations for federal, state, and local AI Policy Councils to create a policy framework for the U.S. to recommend how to deploy and monitor ethical AI.

2020: Partnered with CMU’s Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII) to build a Conversational AI Agent and advance ethical AI policies

2021: Introduced AVA, an AI-driven virtual assistant to guide citizens through government services.

2022 & Beyond: Expanding Gov AI’s reach to state and federal agencies to enhance AI-driven public service delivery.
